Stop #8: Guest artist at Bailey Brown Pottery is Jacob Brown

Jacob Brown is a contemporary painter and sculptor. Who draws much of his inspiration and imagery from the contrast between his rural upbringing in Roslin and his current life in downtown Toronto. The stark contrast of these two different worlds is featured throughout his work. His representations of nature and rural living, with vivid colours and interesting elements, demonstrates this clash of opposing cultures, which is the primary focus of his work Jacob has received an Advanced Diploma in Visual and Creative Arts.

He is also a vinyl applicator, a graphic designer, and a long board maker. Jacob has exhibited at Hotshot Gallery (2010), Culture Rising (2013) and in display cases at Sheridan College (2012).
